IB students, through their experience in a rigorous and balanced program, develop their critical thinking, communication and study skills, as well as their ability to adapt and contribute to college life.
They will develop the knowledge and motivation necessary to succeed not only in college, but in life beyond high school. IB provides them with the skills necessary to confidently face and overcome today's challenges.
The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme is a framework that supports students in grade 6-10 in developing their knowledge and skills to positively impact their communities and become internationally-minded individuals.
This programme encourages the students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world, preparing them for success in further study and in life.

The IBDP Program at Lincoln School offers students two pathways for engaging as learners in the internationally recognized IB Diploma Program. One pathway allows students to register as full IB Diploma students in order to apply to universities where this option is an advantage.
The second allows students to select individual IBDP subjects to complete as official IB Course students. In this sense, all students at Lincoln are IB students.

Lincoln School is proud to be the first school in Costa Rica and Central America authorized to offer the IB Career-related Programme (CP). The CP is an international framework for education within the world of work, combining the strengths of an IB education with a career-related pathway that prepares students for both university and the professional world.
The CP is designed for students in grades 11 and 12 who wish to engage in career-related learning while remaining part of the IB continuum. Students combine at least two or more IB Diploma Programme courses with a career-related study, alongside the CP core: Personal and Professional Skills, Language and Culture Studies, Community Engagement, and the Reflective Project.
