The objective of the new campus project
supports Lincoln School's mission:
to provide the best bilingual and
multinational education available
in Central America, in a world-class
facility!.
Complementing Lincoln's tradition
of academic excellence, the new campus
will feature world-class education
facilities including bigger labs, ample parking and spacious
recreation areas and athletic fields.
Construction of buildings will feature
creative and attractive architecture
built to international and USA educational
standards.
The new campus
can be accessed via Autopista Braulio
Carrillo or through Ruta 117 (a road
that connects Autopista Braulio Carrillo
and Los Colegios Norte, Moravia).
In March 2003, Lincoln School purchased
a spacious property of 7 hectares
(17.3 acres) in Barrio El Socorro,
San Miguel de Santo Domingo de Heredia,
destined to house the new campus.
Under the supervision of the desing team led by the firm " Franz Sauter and Associates" the construction firm of " Volio & Trejos Asociados " was hired to execute the project.
A major milestone of Lincoln School's
New Campus Project was crossed with
the completion of the schematic design
phase of the project. Presentations
were made to parents, students, staff
and special guests during the months
of November and December of 2004.
A very complete and detailed presentation
featuring board members, consultants
from Franz Sauter & Asociados
and Directors from Lincoln School
included virtual animations, perspectives,
a model, as well as a detailed description
of Lincoln School's new facilities.
